what are the backgrounds from?
SlidesCarnival says
The backgrounds are photographs from unsplash.com and not all of them have information on where they were taken. But you can try to ask the photographers:

How can I change the icons? Can I find other icons to replace these?
SlidesCarnival says
Hello, you can change the icons in the Master Slides. To do so click on “Slide” menu -> “Edit master” and you will be able to select the assets you want to change.
You’ve got several options to add your own icons:

I can have background slide but I want my script on the slide in a title box or sub title box to be transparent. How can I do that.
SlidesCarnival says
Hello Nancy, the only way to make text transparent in Google Slides is to use the Word Art option http://www.mousewhisperer.co.uk/drivebunny/using-word-art-in-google-slides/
So you can’t make all your titles transparent at once, but you have to insert (or copy-paste) a WordArt in every slide.

Caryn Zaner says
Hello, I followed the steps listed above to try and remove the blue-pink but when I do that, the background picture disappears. I want to keep the pictures, but just get rid of the colors!
For clarity, I went to Slide > Edit Master. From there I can select any of the slides, but then the only option is for me to Right Click > Change Background > Color. But when I pick any color, including “transparent” the gradient stays and the background image disappears. :(
Jimena says
Hello Caryn,
Yes, the photos are placed as a slide background so if you change them for a color they disappear.
The gradient is a transparent image, that is placed over the background, in the parent master slide (the first of all). So you have to remove it there.

How do you change the the purple-ish filter for just one slide?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hello Reeves,
That won’t be easy as the purple-ish filter is in the master slides, but it can be done.
Hope this is of help.
Emily says

I have a question, is this slide good for history project?
Jimena says
Yes, I think so, if you remove the law icons it can fit a history topic.

Where is the slide menu?
Jimena says
The “slide menu” appears in the top bar of Google Slides. However, in Powerpoint it doesn’t exists and you have to follow these steps https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-a-background-picture-or-watermark-to-slides-4b0b98d4-774c-4e08-9c38-e8c92f58c957
