You are an amazing genius. This saved me tons of time during online learning for my Math class. I really appreciate you sharing your creativity.
Amaris says
How can I change the “Jeoparty” text but keep the same font?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Amaris, I’m sorry but that’s not posible. The “Jeoparty” text is actually a drawing. Although the font is different you can use the “winner” text in slide 34, that one is editable (with a double click).
Hannah Sun says
This is a great template! Jimena I wonder if you could change the “t” to a “d” on the title slide?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Hannah, I didn’t want to use the exact logo of the TV show because it will be protected by copyright. However, you can easily find the logo on the internet and change it if you want
Nicole Hershman-Daniels says
I think I might be missing something on how to score. Can you help?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Nicole, I’m afraid that score can’t be done in the template itself as there could be a variable number of contestants, so I can’t make a ready-made design.
However there are several solutions on the internet to keep track of the score Jeopardy style:
Camilla says
If I simply import the theme to do my own slides, how do I get the “back to panel” link to work? It works on the original, but not when I merely import the theme.
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Camilla, enter the master slides and go to the “JEOPARTY Answer” slide. Click near the outside border and you’ll select the transparent shape that has the “back to panel” link. Change the link to the slide number where your panel is.
Julie says
How can I edit this in Google slides so the numbers disappear on the main slide once an answer has been selected?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Julie,
That’s a great question, I wish I knew the answer. When I created the template I looked for how to change the color for visited links in Google Slides, and it seems that it can’t be done at this moment.
Jessica says
Hi, I love this template, but when I go to use it, the link to the question works, but the “back to panel” link on the question slide doesn’t work :( I am using Keynote so I don’t know if it’s because of that? I really want this to work :(
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Jessica, please try this:
Molly says
You just have to enter full screen!
Lorenzo Hernandee says
Hi what am i doing wrong. I cant get it to go back to the main panel after I select a box
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Lorenzo, you’re not doing anything wrong. In PowerPoint you have to update the “back to panel” link if you change the order of the slides. To do so:
Heaven Sangabriel says
I love this so much it’s so amazing! I could use this for so many things!! :)
Giles Litzner says
I’ve read most of the FAQs and Comments, but don’t see anything to help with my minor issue.
I have everything filled in and the master panel works great. I can click on any category/point value and the appropriate question/slide pops up. However, the “back to panel” option does not work on any slide. What am I missing? Did I fail to do something correctly or is there a hiccup in the program? Please advise.
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hello Giles, you can find the fix to that issue in my answer to Lorenzo’s comment and also in my answer to Camilla.
Sammy Jimenez says
Hi! This looks really great! One thing I wanted to ask though, using Google Slides, when I edit the slides text, I’m not able to select the “Back To Panel” text.
I just wanted to see the link it has to the main slide, but I’m not able to select it or even remove it if I wanted to.
Can you help me out? Thanks!
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Sammy, enter the master slides and go to the “JEOPARTY Answer” slide. Click near the outside border and you’ll select the transparent shape that has the “back to panel” link.
Ava says
Hi, The back to panel button is not working for me. Is there a certain way other then clicking on “back to panel” that would make it work?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Ava, there is a way to fix that. Please check the answer I gave to Lorenzo.
O says
Thank you for this! The template was super easy to access and edit. You made our online assembly so much fun!
Sarah Jeeves says
Would it be possible to take out some of the boxes?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hello Sarah, yes it’s possible. Simply enter the master slides and remove the boxes you don’t want to use.
Anna says
Thank you so much! This is so useful.
alex h says
Are the questions and answers on the same slide? I’m having trouble figuring it out.
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Alex, in the Jeopardy! tv show contestants are presented with clues in the form of answers, and must phrase their responses in the form of questions. So the questions are never really shown.
Janine says
Hi, I have tried to follow the youtube video on connecting the “back to slide” link with the master slide and it is not helpful. I went to the 9th slide and clicked outside the blue box but see no line. Even if I go to the back to slide in the bottom of the screen and right click there is nowhere to link it up to anything. Is there any clearer instructions on this?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Janine, please send me your presentation to slidescarnival[at]gmail.com so I can help you.
Latoya Smith-Burrows says
Thank you so much for this resource. I used it today with my 3rd graders as a math review. Everything worked perfectly. I was nervous about the back to panel button, but didn’t have any issues. Thanks again.
Shannon F says
When I press use template after pressing Google Slides, it just loads and nothing happens. Can you help me?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
I’m really sorry Shannon. These days we’re having a lot of traffic on SlidesCarnival. I’m afraid that when there are many people trying to use the same template, my Google Drive account can’t cope. The only thing I can think of is that you should try it at a time of day when there are probably fewer users, first thing in the morning or at night.
Divyesh Shah says
How do I reduce the number of categories?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Divyesh, enter the master slides and you’ll be able to delete the backgrounds of the columns you don’t want to use. Then, in the panel slide delete the remaining text fields and reposition the others.
Angela says
So excited to use this! THANK YOU!!!!
Amelia N. says
Hi! Thank you so much for the template it is very useful. Is there a way for me to add two more columns?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Yes, Amelia
Kashaun Parker says
Notes for deleting used options:
I was able to use animations ( disappear) to get the used numbers on the slides to disappear. I’ll try to list the steps below and hopefully you are able to follow:
1. the game board
2. go to the animations tab
3. click the “more” option in the animations
4. select the disappear animation
5. click in the bottom right corner where it says “show additional effect options”
6. click the timing tab at the top of the pop up box that appears
7. select triggers towards the bottom of the box
8. click start animation at the click of
9 in the drop down select the slide for the 1st number that you are looking to make disappear ( in this case it is slide “243”
10. select ok
11. repeat for the remainder of the slides until all have the disappear animation option, in this presentation it is slide number “272”
A helpful tip was I prewrote the slide numbers on a piece of paper to help me keep track.
I’d be happy to know how this works for you
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Oh my god! It works!!!
Thank you very much, I’ve been trying to find a solution for this problem for months, and now thanks to your directions I have finally got it working in the PowerPoint template.
Kiersten says
How can I add answer slides for each question?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Kiersten, it’s not an easy task. You would have to duplicate each question slide, and then change in one of them the link from “back to panel” to “see answer” and link it to the other slide, which would keep the link to go back to the panel.
Tee GM says
THIS IS AMAZING!! I’ve been building things like this for years – and I’ll say this is 100 times better than what I’ve built or used in the past – thank you so much for the help!!
Emily says
How do I make the used points/numbers on the main slide disappear on Google Slides??
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
I’m sorry but I still haven’t found an easy way in Google Slides to make the panels disappear once the question is answered. Right now that only happens in the PowerPoint version.
Ian Ferretter says
Thanks for a fab looking slide set. I am using it for a community based Active Trivia event in Melbourne Australia in October. Looking forward to it now that I have the perfect presentation base. Thank you so much.
Yourmom says
Does this include jeopardy like sounds? Or is it all visual?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
No sounds, it’s all visual.
Amanda says
O.M.G. You are the shizznit (pardon my French)! This is an amazing find and I think my Ss will enjoy it. I’m going to use this with my uni Ss for a quiz on the syllabus material and am really excited! I’m sure this template would lend itself well to many different kinds of material. I can’t thank you enough for creating this!
Carolyn says
How do you show the answer to the question?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Carolyn, in the Jeopardy! tv show contestants are presented with clues in the form of answers, and must phrase their responses in the form of questions. So you show the answers first, and the questions are never really shown.
Tim says
Fantastic Template! I used this to put together a party game for my daughter’s birthday party and it turned out better than what I was going to be able to do on my own. Thank you for this!
Nicole says
Is there a way to create a second slide that has what you win? Because I tried to duplicate and it just brought me to the first group of slide answers
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Yes, it is. But you’ll have to change the slides interlinking apart from creating new ones.
Nicole says
Is it possible to add more boxes?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Yes, it is, you’ll have to edit the master slides and then add more links to new slides. Please check the FAQs to learn about the master slides.
sydney antoszyk says
Hi there, I absolutely love your presentation. I was wondering how you got the dollar amounts to link to their questions and if there was a way I could do it with the actual categories too.
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hi Sydney, both in Google Slides and PowerPoint you can link any element to a specific slide. It’s easy, so you’ll have no problem to do it with categories too.
Ms. Smith says
Thank you so much for this!! I beyond appreciate it. :)
angela says
This is perfect, thank you for sharing and all of the hard work you put into it!!
Kathryn Bohn says
This resource is amazing! Saved me so much time. I’m a teacher and I was able to make an exam review with this so easily. I wish there was some way to compensate the creator for their hard work!
Peter Bauer says
I’m having the same problem with the “back to panel” link not working. The solutions given last November are contradictory–one says to click ON the blue area; another says to click AWAY from the blue area. One says to use slide master 9; the other says to use slide master 10; etc. I’ve tried every possible way and never get the “transparent shape” mentioned, nor the Add Link option. Can you please revisit this issue and update the fix for it? Thank you very much.
Makayla says
Hi! I’m an RA who is planning on using this for a program on Wednesday. How do I go about changing the category names in the powerpoint version of this? I’ve tried everything and am unable to figure it out.
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Hello Makayla, if category labels are not editable on the panel try in the master slides.
Louis Montalbano says
Hi, this template is awesome. Do you have any other game shows?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
No, sorry, this is the only one.
Candace says
Hello,
Is there a way to remove the stars and lines in the background without removing the back to panel button?
Jimena Catalina Gayo says
Yes, they can be removed in the parent master slide.
Trina Byrd says
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING.
